Giving back is at the heart of Kappa!
We are focusing March on National Reading Month and promoting Kappa Kappa Gamma's philanthropy Reading is Fundamental! Our National Reading Month Happy Hour & Fundraiser on Wednesday, March 25th at 6:00 pm at Mission, Navy Yard (1221 Van St SE, Washington, DC 20003). Guests can purchase wristbands that will give them access to select drink specials and food specials. All proceeds from wristbands and some profits from beverage sales will benefit RIF!

We are currently seeking a Philanthropy Chair! Philanthropy is deeply important to the Kapital Kappas. If you have an interest in this position or ideas for events or organizations to partner with, please email our President Christina at president.kapitalkappas@gmail.com. This holiday season the Kapitals Kappas sponsored a holiday wish list for 2 children through Safe Shores, a DC organization that helps women and children fleeing domestic abuse. Thank you for your generous support of our fundraising efforts. Together, we raised $190 to sponsor holiday wish lists for 10-year-old Selena and 16-year-old Titus. The money raised through this initiative allowed the Kapital Kappas to purchase Christmas gifts for these two children in the area who may have otherwise not received presents this season.
Thank you to everyone who helped with our Book Bash in conjunction with Community Family Life Services! Between our sorting event and book donations, we helped a great organization move toward their mission of bringing books into the hands of those who need them.
